Black Australian Truffle
Tuber Melanosporum, a.k.a. “Tartufo Nero Pregiato” is the most important of the black truffles. The outer skin is black and warty and the pulp is black with purple tinge when ripe and with many fine white veins. It is also known as “sweet black truffle” for its exquisite, aromatic, mildly pungent fragrance and delicious taste.
